Mark Parsons
Computer technician in Brantford, Ontario. I fix machines, untangle problems, and help people understand the technology they use every day.
What I Do
I repair computers — everything from the classic: replacing a hard drive, cleaning out dust, reinstalling an operating system, to more complex board-level diagnostics. If it has a CPU and a circuit board, I want to figure out how it works and how to make it work better.
I also help people navigate technology in general. Setting up a new device, sorting out your network, understanding what's actually going on with your software — I'm here for it.
What I Care About
Anti-Scammer
I hate computer scammers and actively try to protect people from them. If someone tries to pull a tech support scam or a phishing scheme, I will tell you exactly what is happening and how to stay safe.
Darts & Pool
When I'm not working on machines, you'll find me playing darts or any form of pool. Precision matters — whether you're lining up a shot or diagnosing a fault.
University of Waterloo
I attended the University of Waterloo, where I built the foundation for everything I do. Engineering mindset, practical approach.
LILO Over GRUB
I remember using LILO. I still think it looks cooler than GRUB. Some things from the old days just have more character.
Play Against Me
Tic-tac-toe. I've built an AI opponent that will try to beat you. It won't lose — but it will give you a fair fight. Can you force a draw?
