HELLO, I'M MARK

I'm Mark Parsons, a computer technician based in Brantford, Ontario, Canada. I'm half Dutch and bring that practical European sensibility to every hard drive I rescue.

When I'm not fixing blue screens or teaching grandparents how to Zoom, I love making homemade pizza from scratch. My favourite movies are the Naked Gun and Airplane! comedy series — nothing beats a good laugh after a long day of debugging.

I'm also passionate about snooker and darts. Stephen Hendry and Phil Taylor are the undisputed GOATS. I cheer for the Toronto Maple Leafs every season and deeply regret this loyalty.

I'm disappointed with the lack of use of PERL these days; it is such a cool programming language. For my own network I run OPNsense as my firewall and router — rock solid and open source.

Whether it's hardware repair, software troubleshooting, or just helping someone understand their technology, I love solving problems and teaching people.
